SMS Science Olympiad Takes States by Storm!

The SMS Science Olympiad team earned an impressive 6th place finish at the State Tournament! After dominating at Regionals and taking 3rd, the team buckled down and put in hundreds of hours collectively to be prepared for the state competition held at East Minoa HS in Syracuse this past weekend. Congratulations to this exceptional team of students and advisors (Laurie Ciccone, Jay Gendelman, Ken Raff, Ben Turner, and Jeff Williams)!

9th Annual SHS Pitch Night

Scarsdale High School’s 9th Annual Entrepreneurship Pitch Night brought together over 50 students across 18 teams to present innovative products and services aimed at making a meaningful impact in their communities. In just five-minute pitches, students shared months of work, highlighting both the creativity of their ideas and the real-world needs driving them. The evening celebrated not only the solutions themselves, but the empathy, confidence, and agency students developed throughout the process. From initial concept to public presentation, Pitch Night continues to showcase how small ideas, when pursued thoughtfully, can lead to meaningful change. You can view a live recording of the night here!

Senior Class Production of Grease!

In just a few weeks, the senior class will proudly present their production of Grease! This entirely student-run production is the culmination of months of dedication, creativity, and hard work from our students. From rehearsals and choreography to set dressing, costuming, technical design, and pit orchestra, this production represents an incredible collaborative effort and one of the final major experiences the senior class will share together before graduation. Performances are on Friday, May 15 at 7:00 PM; Saturday, May 16 at 7:00 PM; and Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 PM. Tickets for the performances can be purchased here.

Thank You, Drivers!

Tuesday was National School Bus Driver appreciation day, honoring the dedication of our school transportation professionals. They play a crucial role as the first and last face students see during the school day. This year, our elementary students expressed their appreciation by sharing cards and notes letting our drivers know what they mean to them. On behalf of a grateful school community, we thank this dedicated team for their kindness, care, and professionalism!
